Current availability: BuyerReq does not process payments. Buyers and sellers Handshake to record a deal, then arrange meet, shipping, and money themselves. BuyerReq cannot refund money it never held.

Safe buying on BuyerReq

This page describes how buyers stay safer while BuyerReq records Handshake deals. It is not insurance, escrow, a bank product, or a guarantee that every seller is honest.

BuyerReq does not hold the purchase money and cannot independently reverse or refund payments made between users.

How a deal works today

  1. Post a clear request.
  2. Compare private offers.
  3. Accept an offer, then confirm Handshake on the order to record the agreement.
  4. Arrange meet, shipping, and money yourselves.

Handshake is the marketplace record of what both parties agreed. Money stays between you and the seller.

Before you Handshake

  • Check the item title, condition, price, currency, and shipping or pickup terms on the offer.
  • Prefer sellers with email confirmation and any reviewed identity/business badges shown on their profile.
  • Keep communication on the order thread so there is a record.

After Handshake

  • Meet in a public place for pickup when possible, or use a trackable carrier for shipping.
  • Do not publish a residential address on the public feed.
  • Keep photos, receipts, and chat evidence.
  • If something goes wrong, report it via Reporting a problem or support@buyerreq.com.

What BuyerReq can do

  • Keep the Handshake and message record.
  • Review reports and suspend abusive accounts.
  • Help both sides clarify what was agreed.

What BuyerReq cannot do

  • Hold, freeze, or release seller money.
  • Issue a card or bank refund for money you paid outside BuyerReq.
  • Guarantee item authenticity or outcome.

Future protected checkout

Protected card checkout may be added later. Until it is enabled for an order, do not treat any older “held payout / refund via payment provider” language as current.
