Buyer protection

Policy version 1.0 · effective 6 Sep 2026 · inspection 48h

Subject to legal review. Marketplace payment protection is not a licensed escrow or banking service.

Subject to legal review

This is a practical BuyerReq marketplace protection summary. It is subject to legal review. Payment protection means funds are held via the payment flow until inspection or confirmation — not a licensed escrow product.

What is covered

Eligible issues when the delivered or picked-up item materially differs from the accepted offer or never arrives: - Wrong item or wrong model / variant - Counterfeit or not as represented as original / authentic - Materially different condition than stated - Missing required parts or accessories listed as required - Shipping damage in transit when shipping was the agreed mode - Never received / non-delivery after the seller marked fulfillment without proof

Inspection window

After delivery or pickup confirmation, buyers have the configured inspection window (shown on this page and in order timelines) to confirm receipt or open a dispute with evidence. Payment protection typically holds seller payout until the window closes without a dispute or until ops resolves an open dispute.

Pickup evidence

For pickup orders, keep clear evidence: agreed place and time, photos of the item at handover, and confirmation in order messages. Thin or conflicting pickup evidence makes remedies harder.

Deadlines

Act inside the inspection window. Late claims are usually out of scope unless ops finds exceptional circumstances (for example clear non-delivery with tracking proof).

Refunds and remedies

Ops may decide: no remedy, partial refund, full refund, or replacement guidance. Remedies depend on evidence, messages, tracking, and policy. Partial amounts cannot exceed the seller payout on the order.

Chargebacks

If you open a card chargeback, tell support@buyerreq.com promptly. Parallel chargebacks and marketplace disputes can delay resolution. Abuse of chargebacks may lead to account suspension.

Fraud

Suspected fraud (fake tracking, bait-and-switch, stolen goods, identity misuse) may be escalated, accounts frozen, and authorities notified when required.

Appeals

If you disagree with a dispute outcome, reply once with new evidence to support. Repeat appeals without new facts may be closed. Final operational decisions aim for fairness within marketplace rules.

Not covered

Change of mind, preferences not stated in the request, buyer’s remorse after approving the item, damage after confirmed acceptance, and issues caused by buyer providing a wrong address or missing pickup without notice are generally not covered.
