Common questions about buying and selling on BuyerReq

Current buyer platform fee: 18% of item + shipping (minimum AED 5)

How does BuyerReq work?

Buyers post a request with budget and details. Sellers submit competing offers. The buyer accepts one offer, pays at checkout through our payment provider, then the seller ships or prepares pickup. After delivery, the buyer inspects within the protection window. Payment protection releases funds after inspection or delivery confirmation — this is marketplace settlement, not a licensed escrow service.

What fees do I pay?

Buyers pay a platform fee of 18% of (item price + shipping), subject to a minimum fee of 5 in the request's currency (for example AED, USD, or GBP). The exact fee for each offer is shown before you accept and again at checkout — never only as a vague “platform fee.”

Sellers receive the item + shipping amount after successful completion (subject to dispute outcomes). BuyerReq does not take a second seller commission on top of that buyer fee.

Fee rates are set in platform configuration and may change with notice; the rate locked on an accepted order applies to that order.

How do disputes work?

During the inspection window, buyers can open a dispute from the order page with a reason and evidence (photos, tracking, pickup proof). Ops reviews both sides and applies a remedy. See Buyer Protection for coverage, deadlines, chargebacks, and appeals.
