Terms of service
Policy version 1.0 · effective 6 Sep 2026
Subject to legal review. Marketplace payment protection is not a licensed escrow or banking service.
Subject to legal review
This document is a practical marketplace summary for BuyerReq. It is subject to legal review and may be updated. It does not create a bank, licensed escrow agent, remittance business, or regulated trust relationship.
Agreement
By creating an account or using BuyerReq you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Buyer Protection summary, and Prohibited Items rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Marketplace role
BuyerReq is a worldwide buyer-driven reverse marketplace launching from the UAE: buyers post what they need; sellers compete with offers. The platform facilitates matching, checkout via a payment service provider (PSP), temporary payment protection until inspection or confirmation, and dispute workflows.
BuyerReq is not a party to the sale between buyer and seller except as a technology and marketplace operator. Funds held pending completion are processed through the configured PSP under that provider’s terms — this is payment protection / marketplace settlement, not regulated escrow or banking.
Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your handle. We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, prohibited items, chargeback abuse, or Terms breaches. Handles are unique and generally not transferable.
Fees
Buyers pay a platform fee on top of item price and shipping. The fee is a percentage of (item + shipping) with a configured minimum, shown before offer acceptance and at checkout. Sellers receive item + shipping after successful completion, subject to dispute outcomes. Current rates appear on signup, offer acceptance, FAQ, and admin configuration.
Payments and PSP relationship
Checkout is handled by a third-party payment service provider (for example Stripe when configured). Card data is processed by the PSP; BuyerReq does not store full card numbers. Payment timing, currency support, and refund rails follow PSP capabilities and our order status rules. Failed or incomplete payment may cancel the pending order.
Cancellations
Buyers and sellers should cancel only for legitimate reasons (stock unavailable, mutual agreement, clear error). After payment, cancellations follow order status and ops review. Bad-faith cancellations may lead to account limits.
Shipping and pickup
Sellers must fulfill the accepted offer (shipping mode, ETA, condition). Buyers must be available for delivery or pickup as agreed. For pickup, both parties should keep evidence (time, place, photos, handover confirmation). Risk of loss generally passes per the accepted fulfillment method once delivery or pickup is confirmed, subject to Buyer Protection.
Disputes
During the inspection window, buyers may open a dispute with reasons and evidence. Ops may apply remedies such as none, partial, refund, or replacement guidance. Outcomes depend on evidence, message history, and policy. Chargebacks filed with the card issuer should be coordinated with support; filing a chargeback does not automatically override marketplace process, and abuse may result in account action.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuyerReq is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for seller/buyer misconduct beyond our reasonable operational controls. Our aggregate liability relating to a single order is limited to the platform fees paid for that order, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These Terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, as a placeholder pending legal review. Courts or venues may be clarified in a later counsel-approved version. Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence may still apply where they cannot be waived.
Amendments
We may update these Terms by publishing a new version and updating the policy version shown on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of material changes where permitted by law. Questions: support@buyerreq.com.
